NEW LEXINGTON, Ohio — Members assembled at South Main Church of Christ in New Lexington on Sunday morning for worship service.
Our visiting preacher/speaker today was Charles Savage, of Norval Park Church of Christ in Zanesville.
Charles’ sermon centered on hope, finding your voice, and cited the Books of John Chapter 14 verse 25, Chapter 15; looking for those who are lost (99 out of 100 means one is lost; making sure you say something at a funeral (“say something, even if it’s the wrong thing, say something”) (“And if you ask the question, ‘is there anything I can do?’, mean it. It will mean the world”); and that maybe someone who is watching is the one person who is actually lost; and highlighted that Jesus Christ was the perfect storyteller.
Tylor Waite, Deacon, conducted Opening Prayer.
Tom Sheppard, Elder, led the congregation in song.
David Hall, Deacon, shared Communion.
Jim Lanning, Elder, led the congregation in Closing Prayer.
